EV Charging Station Installation

Residential and commercial EV charging station installation in Southern California, including underground conduits, transformers, subpanels, disconnects and pedestals.

EV charging infrastructure, from power supply to pedestal

CHI Electric installs electric vehicle charging stations for residential and commercial properties. Our experience combines electrical installation with underground utility work, allowing us to coordinate the power infrastructure, conduit routes and charger installation within one construction scope.

We work with homeowners, property owners and facility teams to define the installation requirements around the site, available electrical supply and selected charging equipment.

Residential charging installations

A home charging installation begins with a review of the proposed charger location, existing electrical service and routing requirements. We install the wiring and equipment needed to connect the selected charger and identify panel or service improvements when the project requires them.

  • Dedicated charging circuits and wiring
  • Conduit installation between the panel and charging location
  • Charger mounting and electrical connections
  • Panel improvements where required by the project

Commercial charging stations

Commercial charging projects require coordinated planning of power distribution, underground pathways and equipment placement. CHI Electric provides installation services for office facilities, commercial properties and other sites adding EV charging.

  • Transformer installation and associated electrical infrastructure
  • Underground conduit and feeder installation
  • Subpanels and disconnect switches
  • Single and dual EV charger installations
  • Charging pedestals, mounting and equipment connections

Completed project: Caltrans District 11, San Diego

CHI completed an EV charging installation at the Caltrans District 11 office in San Diego. The project brought together electrical infrastructure and underground construction to support the new charging stations.

  • Installed a new transformer
  • Ran underground conduits
  • Installed a subpanel and disconnect switch
  • Installed single and dual EV chargers with pedestals
